Draft Version of a Data Report The data reveals the varying popularity of four types of cultural events among three different age groups. The cultural events that are taken into account are i) interior design exhibitions, ii) fashion shows, iii) live music concerts and iv) art exhibitions, and the three age groups are categorized as adults between the age of i) twenty to forty, ii)forty to sixty and iii)above sixty. Among the first age group, ten per cent attend art exhibitions, forty eight per cent attend live music concerts, thirty six per cent attend fashion shows and six per cent attend interior design exhibitions. Among the second age group, thirty four per cent attend art exhibitions, thirty per cent attend live music concerts, sixteen per cent attend fashion shows and twenty per cent attend interior design exhibitions. Among the third age group, fifty eight per cent attend art exhibitions, seventeen per cent attend live music concerts, five per cent attend fashion shows and twenty per cent attend interior design exhibitions.
The findings show clearly the way in which the attitudes and preoccupations of people change according to the age. The highest percentage of people from the first age group attended live music concerts, while that of the second and third age groups attended art exhibitions. However, there is a drastic difference in the percentage of people who attended art exhibitions among the second (34%) and third (58%) age groups. While the second age group continues to maintain some interest in live music concerts (30%), the number of people from the third age group who attend them has diminished considerably (17%). This could mean that people tend to enjoy more indoor activities in peace as they age. The lifestyle of young people could be characterized by the outdoor life they enjoy among their peers, complete with the high noise and merrymaking. To prove this further, it is shown that only 6% of the first age group attends interior design exhibitions, which deal more with the space where one tends to stay more and more as one grows older. The second and third age group maintain the same interest (20%) in such exhibitions. The first age group is also not much interested in art exhibitions (10%) which were the most popular among the other two groups, obviously because they call for quality time in peace for introspections and appreciation rather than boisterous enjoyment in spectacles and sounds. However, the first age group has a keen interest in fashion shows (36%) in which the second (16%) and third (5%) showed the least interest.
