Lastly, the managers should form a working structure and ensure that they stay connected with the employees. Since virtual teamwork emphasizes on attaining good results, with less social interactions and relatively high accountability levels, then it is important that managers formulate a strong structural framework that would keep workers on track as well as offer support to them. Notably, not every work can be done virtually, but then today’s technological environment, a wide range of work that is knowledge-oriented need not to be confiscated in a traditional physical office. Managers can employ the use of platforms such as Skype, BBM, and Video conferencing to communicate and ensure effective team work among virtual workers. Virtual work offers businesses a new effective way of ensuring that the goals and objectives are met without spending much time or infrastructure. When effectively managed, virtual teams can offer great results and benefits to all stake holders.
