September 21, Mr. Jim Fuller, Counselor, Grant MacEwan Edmonton. Respected Sir, My is Jeffery ______ and I have recently been accepted in your esteemed institution in the Arts and Cultural Management Department on probation contract. I truly thank you for giving me this opportunity to gain education in the respective program which is no less than a passion for me. I really appreciate the kindness that you have shown me in this matter after understanding my misfortunes in the past.
I treasure the trust and confidence that you and your institution have placed in my capabilities and wish to reassure you of my future hard work and efforts in my studies. The happenings in the last year have taught me that education is the single most prized possession of one’s existence and should not be compromised at any level. Due to which I plan to stay more focused on my studies now irrespective of any circumstances. As stated earlier, Arts is my passion and I am very ambitious about achieving my goal in this field. The curriculum in your establishment has made me more anxious to learn about this field since the faculty is very experienced and exciting opportunities are given to students to learn in a professional manner.
After receiving the good news of the approval of my admission application, I have spent great amount of time devising a good plan for pursuing my education in an effective manner. I have come across some good strategies that I shall be making a part of my study sessions for example concept maps, definition sheets, word cards etc (“Study Skills Resources” 3). I plan to study the chapters before attending their respective lectures so that I can be able to ask meaningful questions in the class to clear my concepts. Piling all the work till the announcement of the exams is something that I have never done in my life. I plan to follow a study schedule which will reserve some amount of time for studying and learning every day after school. I have devised the following timetable for my studies:
Monday to Friday
4 pm to 6 pm
Self Study
10 pm to 11 pm
Study for next day’s lecture
Saturday
4 pm to 6 pm
Self Study
10 pm to 12 pm
