Running head: WITH FLYING COLORS Narrative Essay: With Flying Colors Running head: WITH FLYING COLORS 2 With FlyingColors
I went home that day not knowing how to start the task given to me by my instructor. Upon arriving home, I went straight up to my room and turned on my computer. The blank page which stared at me for more than what I believe is reasonable time made me fidget in my seat. I tried to remember how I started the research. It seems now that it was easier to start the research itself than to write about it. I asked myself how one writes about the actions one went through in completing a research. Moreover, I asked myself how one describes what one goes through in trying to deliver quality output in such limited time. Let me try to briefly narrate how the research project went.
I remember looking at my planner. There were too many things to do. I had to rearrange my schedule to be able to work on the research effectively. I had to talk to some people, cancel certain plans, and re-schedule certain appointments. It was tough enough to reshuffle my schedule, but it was tougher to make it fit with my other group mates’ schedule too. Certain amount of persuasiveness and negotiations skills was needed. There were even some that needed compromise.
Throughout the process of completing the task, I had to start and stop and start and stop over and over in between other activities that I have. Every time I saw or thought of something that I believe will add a positive thing on the project, I had to contact my group mates or note it down for later reference. It sounds tedious and energy-consuming, but after everything was finalized, the end product made all the effort seem worthwhile.
I remember vividly how excited we all felt during the last few minutes of finalizing the research project. And when we submitted it and received a high mark on it, the smiles on our faces were priceless. I knew from then that I would not hesitate to juggle my regular activities again next time only to experience once more the elation of being acknowledged for having a job well done.
